Silver anniversary marks the gold standard of 4x4 tractors

Celebrating 25 Years of XERION Tractors

In 1997, CLAAS introduced the XERION 2500 - the most versatile, multifunctional high-powered tractor to date. As we celebrate 25 years of production, we relish the advancements XERION brought to the North American large 4x4 tractor market in 2014. Features such as CVT transmission, solid frame, special steering modes, and high hydraulic flow.

The Evolution of XERION

In honor of this silver anniversary, here are some of the highlights that marked of XERION tractor over the years:

  • 1997 - XERION 2500 hits the European market
  • 2004 - XERION 3300 with a ZF continuously variable transmission provides high traction power, perfect for heavy-duty cultivators.
  • 2007 - XERION 3800 with 379 hp features a ball mount that works with large-volume liquid manure tanks
  • 2009 - XERION 4500 and 5000 series introduce “power intelligence” for heavy duty work, with both models available in TRAC and TRAC VC (Variable Cab) rotating cabs
  • 2014 - XERION tractor series launches in North America
  • 2017 - XERION sets records at the Nebraska Tractor Test Lab for the 450 to 500 hp class in efficiency, pull-to-weight ratio and low cab noise
  • 2020 – The XERION tractor becomes an international sensation, with race car driver Christian Menzel completing the legendary, 20.6 km course at the Nürburgring in 25 minutes and 50 seconds – driving in reverse with the cab turned around.   • 2022 - CLAAS celebrates 25 years of the XERION tractor series
